Warren Wormann Jr. Memorial Golf Classic

The Golf Classic is an annual event held every September at Farmstead Golf & Country Club to benefit the Warren Wormann Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scramble-style tournament is open to friends, family, and anyone interested in a great day of golf. Dinner and raffle prizes included.

HUGE thank you to everyone who came out for the 19th Annual Warren Wormann Jr. Memorial Golf Outing!

What a day—we truly couldn’t have asked for anything better. The weather was perfect, our volunteers kept everything running smoothly, and every golfer had a blast. And we even had a hole-in-one—congrats to John Burrini for sinking one on Clubview 3!

It’s hard to believe how far this has come. Our very first outing had just 40 golfers. Back then, we had no idea what it would turn into or how long it would last. This year, twenty years later, 160 golfers and attendees joined us under the bluest skies. My Dad always said Warren made sure we had the best weather, and with Dad up there now too, I think they really pulled some strings. Because it was truly perfect.

My deepest gratitude to my Mom, who poured her heart into every detail these past few months. Before my Dad passed, he made her promise we’d keep this event going. This tournament meant so much to him, to us, and, in speaking with many of you, I know it means a lot to you as well.

This outing is about more than golf. It’s about keeping Warren’s memory alive with a damn good day spent with family and friends. Each year, a Pope John senior football player—chosen for his spirit and for embodying traits like my brother’s—receives a scholarship in Warren’s name. That wouldn’t be possible without your support, so from the bottom of our hearts: thank you.

And a heartfelt thanks to Pope John XXIII High School and to Craig Austin—one of Warren’s first football coaches—who shows up year after year with the kindest words and support. He helps ensure the scholarship goes to someone who truly reflects all that my brother stood for, helping to keep Warren’s memory alive through this award.

And of course, thank you to Farmstead, who continues to be the best host we could ask for. Scott and the team make this beautiful course feel like home, and this event would never be the same without them. We are so grateful.
